My website: www.estherzuidgeest.nl This animation represents the galloping movement of an okapi. Okapi's naturally have an ambling gate when they walk. This means the right and left legs move forward together. This gait is also seen in giraffes and camels. As okapi start to run they will change their gait to a gallop which is similar to a horse's gallop. Reference for this animation was limited. If have any questions or comments don't hesitate to reply. The model was made by digitizing actual bones from an important Dutch natural history museum: Naturalis. Here you can view the process of digitizing the skeleton: www.youtube.com Animation and rigging done in Autodesk Maya.
